No paperwork, full flexibility and control

A site inspection on paper too often ends up as a report nobody can find. Forms blow away, handwriting is unreadable, and the photo of that damaged edge protection is still on the site manager’s phone.

With E-lia everything runs through one system. Anyone on the team can start an inspection, or you send it out as an admin.

Whoever records a finding adds a photo straight away. You see the issue while the team is still on site, not on Friday evening back at the office.

Frequently asked questions about workplace inspections

What is a workplace inspection and is it a legal requirement?

It is a regular, structured walk around the site or workplace to check that people are working safely and without risk to their health.

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require you to monitor and review your safety arrangements, and regular inspections are the most common way to do that. ISO 45001 expects them too.

The aim is not to catch anyone out, but to spot unsafe situations before something happens.

That depends on the risks on your site and on what your own safety management system sets out. Monthly or quarterly per workplace is common; on high-risk construction or industrial sites it can be weekly or even daily.

Some equipment has its own legal intervals: scaffolds, for example, must be inspected at least every seven days under the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Paper checklists blow away, handwriting is unreadable, and photos of unsafe situations have to be pasted into a document by hand afterwards.

That costs your health and safety adviser a lot of unnecessary time and slows down exactly what needs to happen fast: removing the hazard.

Inspection apps often never get installed, passwords get lost and updates get skipped.

E-lia removes that barrier: the inspection runs through WhatsApp, which everyone already knows. Start, tick off, add a photo.

Certainly. You don’t adapt your processes to our software: we convert your own trusted inspection checklist into a digital form.

The same questions, in the same order, just without the paper.

This is where you save the most time. As soon as the site manager completes the inspection, a formatted PDF report appears in your dashboard, with time stamp, location, name and photos.

During an audit you show a complete record in one click.

Because everything is processed in real time, you see straight away, as an admin, when a defect is found, such as damaged edge protection.

You don’t wait for the paper form to arrive on Friday: you step in the same day.
